বিশ বছর আগের হারিয়ে যাওয়া বন্ধুকে
কোথায় আছিস জানি না। হয়তো আমাদের দুজনের জীবনই এমন জায়গায় এসে দাঁড়িয়েছে, যেখান থেকে পুরোনো রাস্তা আর দেখা যায় না। তবু মাঝে মাঝে কোনো গান, কোনো বিকেলের আলো, কিংবা হঠাৎ শোনা একটি পরিচিত শব্দ আমাকে সেই সময়ে ফিরিয়ে নিয়ে যায়, যখন আমরা ভবিষ্যৎ নিয়ে এত চিন্তা করতাম না।
অজানা বন্ধুকে
আমরা একে অপরকে চিনি না। হয়তো কোনোদিন চিনবও না। তবু এই পৃথিবীর কোথাও তুমি এমন একটি দিন কাটাচ্ছ, যেটা সম্পর্কে তোমার আশেপাশের মানুষ খুব কম জানে।

There were ordinary things you did that I understood only later. You answered the phone. You waited. You made jokes when I was taking myself too seriously. You stayed in rooms where I was not very easy to be around.
